"Manisha is incredibly patient and helpful. She was always the one I called if I was unsure about something, and even if it was at the last minute, she was eager to help. If I ever had a question about the process, she would research about it and send me extensive information about the subject. She's very knowledgeable about the college applications process and gave me great advice about SAT's, essays, applications, and more! What sets her apart from other college counselors is that she never rushes to get to the next student or go to her next appointment; she truly devotes her time to each individual student to give them the advice and support they need. She is superb, and you can tell that she loves what she's doing!"
- Ishani, UC Berkeley, Cupertino
"Manisha Puranik is the calm before the storm! Her easy going, relaxed, yet professional demeanor puts our students at ease when their stress levels are at their highest. Our students at Hillsdale High School have had the benefit of working with Manisha individually as she guides them through steps to help them become UC/CSU eligible. She is that person that goes the extra mile and genuinely cares about the student on a personal, individual level. She has the exact personality of someone that I would want working with my own children when they are ready to start this process."
- Janice Kelly, Guidance Counselor, Hillsdale Highschool San Mateo
"We got a firsthand look at how the college admissions process works. We thought my son’s essay was perfect, but with her knowledge, we learned how to tailor it even better to match what colleges are looking for. Her insight was invaluable and very useful for determining our college search and application strategy, as well"
-Archana, Parent, Parsippany, New Jersey
"Manisha has been a tremendous help at our school. She has worked one on one with our students who need an extra push or hand-holding through the college process. She is a team player, collaborating with our guidance counselors and college/career advisor. She understands the college application process and is able to guide students to make informed decisions about what they want to do after they graduate high school."
-Rebecca Bucher, School Counselor, Hillsdale Highschool, San Mateo
"Sometimes during this hard application phase when it was hard for me to reach to my daughter, Manisha became the bridge. Her unbiased and patient guidance helped my daughter. Manisha was always available and happy to help. She always believed in my daughter's ability and encouraged her to believe in herself and I am really thankful for that. Even after the admission process was over she kept sending information and stayed involved. We love you, Manisha. "

"One of the hardest things about applying to college is picking which schools to apply to. Having to choose a few to keep costs down but applying to all schools you want to go to and think you have a good shot at is what I was finding very hard. Mrs Puranik's counseling guided me to make these decisions. We students sometimes get hung up on trying to choose a college with the best academics and forget about other factors. Her counseling helped me consider such factors like the surrounding city, college size, and climate as well.Apart from helping me pick colleges, she patiently reviewed my application essays. She did regular language and content checks. She gave me good feedback by advicing me to rephrase the way i put down certain things and ways to make my experiences sound stronger. She emphasized on mentioning what I gained out of my experiences which is a very important thing. I was able to ask her any doubts regarding my application process and she would always respond promptly and patiently. On a whole she was very available and helpful and I could not have gotten into UCLA without her help."
-Uma, UCLA, international student
